Dump Truck Body Repair in Yorba Linda

A dump body spends its life being filled with abrasive material and then flexed hard as that material slides out. Neither is a collision and both destroy the body over time.

What wears out on a dump body?
The floor, from material sliding out under load every cycle. Abrasion thins the plate until it perforates, usually starting at the rear third where material velocity is highest.
Then the hoist mounting, which takes the entire body and load weight through a small number of attachment points, in a cyclic loading pattern that is close to a textbook fatigue case. Cracking at hoist mounts is extremely common and plating over it does not work.

How is abrasion wear repaired?
Worn plate is cut out and replaced, and this is the point to consider material specification. If the original floor wore through in four years, replacing it with the same plate produces the same outcome.
Abrasion resistant plate costs more and lasts substantially longer, and on a body you intend to keep it is usually the better economic choice. We give both figures rather than assuming.
