Food Truck Repair and Build Out in Yorba Linda
Food trucks take a combination of heat, grease and vibration that no other vehicle does. Equipment mounting fatigue, interior surface degradation and service window structure are the recurring repairs, alongside conventional body work.
A food truck cooks at temperature while driving over pavement, and the equipment doing the cooking is heavy and mounted to a moving structure. That combination is unique and so are the failures.
All work is performed at our Yorba Linda facility. Bring the vehicle to us and we will schedule around your operating calendar as far as the work allows.
What fails on a food truck?
Equipment mounting first. A flat top or a fryer is heavy, it sits high, and it gets shaken every mile. Mounting that was adequate on day one fatigues, and equipment shifting during transit is both a repair issue and a safety one.
Then interior surfaces, from grease and cleaning chemicals degrading the finish and the substrate behind it. And the service window structure, which is a large opening in a load bearing wall that gets opened and closed constantly.
- Equipment mounting fatigue from weight plus vibration
- Interior surface and substrate degradation from grease
- Service window structure and mechanism wear
- Floor delamination at wet and high traffic points
- Exhaust hood mounting and roof penetration sealing
- Body panel damage from urban operation
- Electrical distribution capacity for equipment loads
What does a proper build out include?
Structural reinforcement where equipment mounts, surfaces specified for commercial cleaning, floor construction that survives standing water, and electrical distribution sized for the actual equipment load rather than the minimum.
Build out runs $8,500 to $60,000 and up at 60 to 350 labor hours. Where you have health department or fire marshal specifications, give them to us at scoping and we build to them. We do not handle the inspection itself.
How much downtime should I expect?
A build out is four to twelve weeks depending on scope. Body and panel repair is one to three weeks. Equipment remount alone can be under a week.
For anyone booked into events, that difference matters enormously, so we quote the downtime alongside the price rather than after you have committed.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a food truck build out cost?
Interior build out and conversion runs $8,500 to $60,000 and up at 60 to 350 labor hours. Scope drives it, and equipment you supply versus equipment sourced changes it substantially.
My equipment shifts when I drive.
Mounting fatigue from weight plus vibration. It is a safety issue as much as a repair one. Correct repair reinforces into structure sized for the load rather than remounting to the original specification.
Do you handle health department inspections?
No. Give us your inspection specifications at scoping and we build to them, but the inspection process is yours to coordinate.
Can you fabricate or repair a service window?
Yes. Service window and door fabrication runs $750 to $6,500 at 5 to 26 labor hours, including reinforcing the opening in the load bearing wall.
