Mercedes Sprinter Repair in Yorba Linda

Why does the conversion change the repair?
Because a structural repair on a unibody van requires access, and a camper conversion has covered the structure with cabinetry, insulation, wiring, plumbing, lithium batteries and solar. All of that has to come out to reach what needs repairing, and go back correctly.
On a professionally built conversion that is documented work. On an owner built conversion it frequently is not, so we photograph and itemise everything before removal. That documentation matters more on a conversion than on almost any other vehicle, because there is no assembly manual to fall back on.

Why does ADAS matter so much here?
Because a Sprinter carries radar, camera and sensor systems whose calibration depends on the vehicle geometry being correct. A structural repair that moves anything, or a windshield or bumper replacement, requires recalibration.
Delivering a Sprinter back with uncalibrated driver assistance is not acceptable, and we scan and recalibrate as part of the repair rather than as an option. Diagnostics and programming work is at our posted $285 per hour rate.
