Heartland RV Repair in Yorba Linda
OCRV Center repairs Heartland fifth wheels and travel trailers at our Yorba Linda facility. Heartland builds laminated walls on Lippert frames, and the recurring work is delamination, slide opening correction and toy hauler ramp frame repair on Cyclone and Torque units.
Heartland covers a wide price range, from entry travel trailers to the Landmark luxury fifth wheels, and the build quality tracks the price. Repair approach does not change much across the range because the construction method is consistent.
The toy hauler lines are where the distinctive work is, for the same reason as every toy hauler: the ramp opening removes structure from the rear wall.
How is a Heartland built and what fails?
Laminated sidewall assembly over an aluminum framed wall, fiberglass exterior on the higher lines and aluminum on some entry units, membrane roof over decking, Lippert frame.
Failures follow the construction. Front cap seams from wind pressure, lower sidewall delamination where water has tracked down, slide opening racking on the heavier multi slide units, and Lippert frame stress at the pin box and suspension hangers.

Which Heartland lines do you work on?
All of them, current and discontinued. The luxury fifth wheels, the mainstream fifth wheels, the toy haulers and the travel trailer lines.
On discontinued units parts availability is the usual constraint, and where a cap or panel is not available we mould fiberglass sections in house from the surviving side or a donor pattern.

What does Heartland repair cost?
Delamination repair $1,500 to $20,000 and up at 10 to 100 hours. Front cap repair $750 to $12,000 and up. Slide mechanism service $500 to $8,500 and up. Frame and structural repair $750 to $20,000 and up. Roof membrane replacement $3,500 to $18,000 and up.
At our posted $210 per hour body and paint rate and $260 per hour mechanical and electrical rate, with 7.75 percent sales tax on parts and materials only.

Common Problems and How We Solve Them
My Bighorn has soft lower sidewall on one side.
SolutionWater has tracked down from a seam above. We find and correct the entry point, then map the debonded area by tap testing rather than repairing only what shows.
My Cyclone ramp frame is cracked.
SolutionThe characteristic toy hauler finding. The frame around the opening carries what the rear wall used to. Correct repair removes the cracked section and reinforces it.
The slide on my Landmark binds partway.
SolutionAlmost always opening geometry rather than mechanism. We measure the opening before replacing components that are being destroyed by the bind.

How much does Heartland delamination repair cost?
$1,500 to $20,000 and up at 10 to 100 labor hours. Extent is mapped by tap testing, which almost always shows a larger area than what is visible.
My Torque ramp door will not seal.
The rear frame around the opening has distorted. A new seal on a moved opening does not last. The frame gets measured, corrected and reinforced first.
Are Heartland parts available on older units?
Current production is generally orderable. On discontinued units we mould fiberglass cap and panel sections in house from the surviving side or a donor pattern.
