Facility Specifications and Capacity
OCRV Center operates 35,000 square feet with two heated downdraft paint booths measuring 65 by 20 feet. Monthly capacity is 50 to 150 repairs, 100 to 150 maintenance jobs, 20 major collisions and 50 to 100 paint jobs. BAR ARD00288521, EPA CAL000367879.
Facility specification sounds like a boring page and it is the single hardest thing for a competitor to copy. Square footage and booth length are capital facts. Either you have them or you do not.
They also determine what work is physically possible, which is why they belong on a website rather than in a brochure.
Why does booth length decide what a shop can do?
Because refinishing a coach in sections produces visible boundaries. A 65 foot booth lets a forty five foot vehicle be sprayed in one pass with consistent conditions across the whole surface. Split that across two sessions and temperature, humidity and flash time all differ between them.
The same logic applies to bay length on structural work. Anchoring a vehicle for a measured pull needs the whole vehicle accessible, and a pull vector calculated for one end while the other end is in a different building is not a thing.
What does the capacity figure actually mean?
Throughput, and it matters to two groups. Fleet operators, because staged multi unit work needs simultaneous capacity. And any owner in a hurry, because a shop at capacity will book you in six weeks before it starts.
Fifty to a hundred and fifty repairs a month is a wide range because job size varies enormously. Twenty major collisions per month is the more meaningful number, since those consume the structural bays and the booth time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does 35,000 square feet compare to other shops?
It is substantially larger than most general collision shops and larger than most RV service operations in Southern California. Length rather than area is usually the binding constraint though, and the 65 foot booths are what matter most.
What is the longest vehicle you can refinish in one pass?
Booth dimensions of 65 by 20 feet accommodate a forty five foot coach comfortably, which covers essentially all Class A production.
Can you take several fleet units at once?
Yes. Twenty major collisions per month of capacity means multi unit fleet work can be staged so an operator never loses its whole fleet simultaneously.
Are your licence numbers verifiable?
Yes. BAR ARD00288521 through the California Bureau of Automotive Repair and EPA CAL000367879. Both are checkable against public registries.
