Tiffin Motorhome Repair in Yorba Linda
OCRV Center repairs Tiffin motorhomes at our Yorba Linda facility. Tiffin uses steel and aluminum superstructure with fiberglass exterior and elaborate full body paint, and the recurring work is cap repair, full body paint matching and slide service.
Tiffin built its reputation on being repairable, and it is a fair reputation. Parts support has historically been good and the structure is straightforward once you are into it.
Like Newmar, the complexity is in the finish. Tiffin full body schemes are multi layer with flowing graphics, and matching them is skilled refinish work rather than a colour code lookup.
How is a Tiffin built?
Steel and aluminum superstructure, laminated sidewalls with fiberglass exterior skin, and full body paint over the top. Diesel pushers ride on the in house Powerglide chassis or Freightliner, and gas coaches on Ford F53.
The Powerglide chassis is worth knowing about because it is Tiffin specific, which affects both parts and dimensional specification on a structural repair. We measure against the correct specification rather than a generic one.
- Allegro, Allegro RED and Open Road gas and diesel coaches
- Phaeton and Bus diesel pushers
- Zephyr flagship diesel pusher
- Breeze and Wayfarer on Sprinter and Freightliner platforms
- Allegro Bay and discontinued gas lines
- Powerglide and Freightliner diesel chassis, Ford F53 gas
What fails on a Tiffin?
Front and rear cap sealant joints, as on every large coach. Fiberglass cap cracking at stress points, particularly around the windshield opening and at the lower cap corners where road debris hits.
Then slides, where the recurring finding is opening geometry rather than mechanism. And on older coaches, clearcoat failure on full body paint, which is a refinish job rather than a repair.
- Cap sealant joint failure at roof and sidewall transitions
- Fiberglass cap cracking at the windshield opening
- Lower cap corner impact damage from road debris
- Slide opening racking on multi slide coaches
- Clearcoat failure on older full body paint
- Roof membrane seam separation at the front radius
What does Tiffin repair cost?
Fiberglass cap repair $750 to $12,000 and up at 4 to 60 hours. Full cap replacement $4,500 to $25,000 and up at 30 to 120 hours. Full body paint $8,500 to $45,000 and up at 60 to 300 hours. Slide service $500 to $8,500 and up.
At our posted $210 per hour body and paint rate, $55 per paint hour materials, and 7.75 percent sales tax on parts and materials only.

Common Problems and How We Solve Them
My Phaeton cap is cracked around the windshield.
SolutionA common Tiffin stress point. We repair the laminate properly rather than filling the crack, because a filled fiberglass crack reopens along the same line.
The clearcoat on my Allegro is failing across the side.
SolutionThat is a refinish job, not a repair. Full body paint runs $8,500 to $45,000 and up and on a structurally sound coach it is frequently good value.
A cap section is no longer available for my coach.
SolutionWe mould fiberglass cap sections in house from the surviving side or a donor pattern. Discontinued means fabricated, not unrepairable.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you repair Tiffin Zephyr and Phaeton coaches?
Yes, plus Allegro, Allegro RED, Open Road, Bus, Breeze and Wayfarer. Our 65 foot booths handle full length diesel pushers.
How much does Tiffin cap repair cost?
Fiberglass cap repair $750 to $12,000 and up at 4 to 60 labor hours. Full cap replacement $4,500 to $25,000 and up at 30 to 120 hours.
Can you match Tiffin full body paint?
Yes, with computerized match and spray out cards verified before paint goes on the coach, and with the blend mapped across panel boundaries where graphics require it.
Do you know the Powerglide chassis?
Yes, and it matters. Powerglide is Tiffin specific, so structural repair gets measured against the correct specification rather than a generic one.
